Guatemala

If you are thinking of traveling the world, Guatemala is a place that should be on your must see list. It is beautiful! Most of my time was spent in Antigua, which is an old colonial city with cobblestone streets.  It used to be the old Capital of Guatemala and it has many ruins from an 18th century earthquake. If you have some time, I suggest googling "antigua" or looking for it in wikipedia.

I was able to visit the Mayan site of Tikal- which has many gorgeous preserved Mayan ruins, visited Lanquin and Semuc Champey which have breathtaking Jungle scenery and beautiful turquoise pools, and I visited lake Atitlan- which is surrounded by 3 huge volcanoes. I took over a thousand pictures of my visit. But I will only post a few of the best ones. For some reason, they don't look very sharp or high res on the blog, maybe it's just my computer. Anyways-  Enjoy!

This one was also taken by Steve. We had to hike 30 minutes uphill. I wasn't able to make it- especially carrying our one year old on my back.
