Cade and Kylee { Sandy Utah | Salt Lake City Utah Photography}

Kylee and Cade tied the knot and their wedding was so awesome! They are such a fun couple to photograph and of course, they are gorgeous!

This has been the most memorable wedding yet. Let's just say this was my first "quarrel" with another photographer. When it's the LDS wedding season there are lots of brides getting married around the same time in the same place. This was the case. When there are lots of brides coming out at around the same time, you only have a few minutes to take pictures in front of the temple (The front is the only spot in this temple that accommodates large groups). Well, there was another photographer before me who was taking pictures of all the family and group, then she proceeded to take pictures of every possible combination of family members in front of the temple-we're talking aunts and uncles, cousins and second cousins, friends and neighbors, cats and dogs (okay I'm exaggerating with that one). I'm not trying to say that taking pics of those combinations are wrong, it's just the fact that they were taking all of them right in front and taking 3-5 minutes for each pose. Other brides and groups were also coming out and had to wait their turn.

I went to the side and took pics of some of the bridal party. After a while we came back and she was still there!  I'm usually pretty calm and really don't like confrontations, but I simply asked her nicely how much longer she was going to take..... Well, it went downhill from there. She accused me of ruining her Bride and Groom's day and how they were always going to remember this day and how I was destroying it. I told her that there are other groups that need the space and we had been waiting almost half an hour. But somehow it was still "my fault" and she told me I was "being unprofessional" for trying to tell her that she was taking forever. I had to bite my tongue and not reply to that bogus statement. Shortly after our turn to take pictures there was another bride coming out. We got out of the way and didn't make a fuss. Afterwards, my bride's family and the other bride's family had a heart-to-heart. No hard feelings.

A wedding photographer has to be able to work under pressure, obviously she must have been new. Time management is crucial for family/group pictures. At the slightest bit of stress, she was boiling and ready to explode. I wasn't even mad at her. I was once in her spot. I know how it feels to have another photographer pressuring you to finish. The only difference for me is that I didn't over react. I didn't call the other photographer unprofessional and didn't tell them that they were ruining my Bride and Groom's day.

So, now lets get back to the wonderful images from Cade and Kylee's wedding and formals! One of the locations was an old cabin house and beautiful garden. Although it was raining for the formals, it made it extra special and extra wet! At the end, my jeans were really wet, but we got some awesome pictures!

Chris and Becca's Engagements {Sandy UT, Salt Lake City UT Photographer}

Who doesn't love a vintage inspired photo shoot? I do!
Chris and Becca wanted engagement pictures that were a bit different than the traditional engagements you see elsewhere. When I found out they wanted to go for a vintage appeal, I was so excited and couldn't wait! When I saw this old train depot, I had all sorts of ideas running through my head! It also helped to have gorgeous models who were naturals and who followed my directions so well.  After shooting at the depot, we went to an awesome outdoor location with trees and tall grass. Which to me, looked like a scene from Huckleberry Finn. Again, of course, I had all sorts of ideas popping out and waiting for them to be captured. Each location had a different feel to it and you can tell from the pictures. I love both locations

The Salt Lake City area has been awesome!
This session turned out wonderful! These two love birds are tying the knot soon, and excited for their wedding day. Oh and did I mention that Chris is my cousin??  Becca will officially join my family at the end of July!! I'm so excited for both of them! Congrats!
